Security And
Surveillance Systems

We design, install and support the following types of security and surveillance solutions.

Intruder Alarms

Brookvex designs its Intruder alarm systems for use in the widest of applications, from single retail outlets, homes and offices, to large high security installations such as banks, financial institutions or other vulnerable, high-risk sites such as public utilities, railways and airports.

The range of control systems are from leading manufacturers and include the Galaxy, Menvier and Texecom ranges. All of our control systems operate in accordance with the draft British Standard DD243:2002, and come with keypads, encrypted keys and can be integrated with other systems.

More than 90% of all alarm activations are false. Therefore, the Association of Chief Police Officers for England, Wales and Northern Ireland (ACPO) and for Scotland (ACPOS) have introduced policies to reduce the number of false alarms that the Police attend. Confirmation technology is a requirement for new systems in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and to have Police response reinstated in all of the UK.

Installation of the latest technology of motion detectors fit for application substantially increase the immunity to false alarms to ensure that you maintain Police response (on a monitored system). We also install an extensive range of door, window and shutter contacts, with vibration, sound and break-glass sensors for complete protection where required. Panic buttons, both fixed and wireless can be provided in locations where there is increased threat to personnel.

Alarms are only as good as the response they initiate. Brookvex can install a number of alert solutions ranging from:-

  • Bells only – local alarm only
  • Speech & Text Diallers – will call up to 8 contacts and provide an audio message or send an SMS Text message.
  • Monitored system – once an alarm has been triggered, a signal is transmitted to the
  • Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Upon receipt of this signal the ARC will inform keyholders and the emergency services if applicable.

Brookvex have a dedicated call-out team who provide maintenance coverage throughout the UK. This is a 24-hour call-out operation, which can provide remote resets for alarms and rectification of malicious damage.

As part of commitment to quality, Brookvex are working towards the NACOSS Gold approval, the highest approval The National Security Inspectorate (NSI) have. The NSI recognise, inspect and regulate firms who install, maintain and monitor electronic security systems.

Access Control

Access control systems are designed to allow access for authorised personnel into and around sites whilst restricting access for unwanted or unauthorised individuals. Whether you require a single or multi point access system across a small or large site, Brookvex can provide it. We pride ourselves on our vast experience in the design and configuration of access control systems.

A variety of domestic and commercial solutions are available ranging from single user areas to thousands of personnel. For multi-site clients it is also possible to interlink systems, providing monitoring and control of all the site access from any location.

A carefully designed and installed access control system will give you the
following benefits.

  • Keeping your staff, visitors and property safe from intruders
  • Roll-call facilities that inform you who is on site at any particular time, in case of a fire or emergency
  • Last Known Location facilities can help you trace and locate staff on larger sites
  • Monitoring the movement and timekeeping of contractors, visitors and employees from your desktop PC

Our access controls enable you to solve a variety of security problems using an intuitive, yet powerful system, which can manage the following.

  • All types of door, turnstile and car park barrier
  • Codes, magnetic strip and barcode cards, proximity tags and cards and even biometric identification and some of these can be combined for increased security
Multiple access groups (e.g. staff, contractors) and zones (e.g. warehouse,
    factory, office)
  • Integration with fire, intruder alarms and CCTV systems can add additional levels of protection such that alarm systems are turned on and off via the access system or cameras in a security room display the area when access is attempted.

CCTV Systems

Brookvex has experience of installing CCTV systems into a variety of residential, commercial and industrial premises, including manufacturing facilities, private banks and town centres.

It is the extensive knowledge that guarantees excellence with the design and installation of CCTV systems, resulting in superb, high quality visual images of the areas to be protected.
CCTV systems may be integrated with access control, intruder alarms, fire systems, and computer networks.

Using the latest technology Brookvex can supply, install and maintain CCTV systems incorporating day/night technology, privacy domes and licence plate recognition. Our expertise ensures quality colour pictures under the most demanding conditions.

Whether it be static, zoom or PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) technology, IP or standard CCTV technology, Brookvex can implement the solution to meet your needs. Display monitors vary in size and performance, with a choice of colour or monochrome, flat screen or traditional, to suit almost any application and budget. Systems can also be connected into computer networks enabling the images to be viewed/reviewed by authorised personnel anywhere on or off site.

With the latest recording systems the need for replacing tapes is eliminated. These systems record constantly, and enable you to search and playback instantly without interupring the recording process. Digital recorders provide pin sharp images that never deteriorate and offer numerous benefits over older analogue systems:-

  • Ability to instantly search by date, time, or event
  • Store months of footage at no additional cost
  • No signal or quality loss on recording
  • Automatically overwrites the oldest video footage
  • Digital images are much higher quality than analogue
  • Flexible configurations and settings
  • Remotely view multiple locations from anywhere in the world using a PC/Laptop
  • Record video off-premises to a remote server
  • Multiple levels of user security

Regular maintenance is essential for all CCTV systems. We employ a dedicated, highly qualified team of installation and service engineers who provide coverage for scheduled and emergency servicing and maintenance.
